Bridgewater is a research benchmark here. Its private models, client tools and complete portfolio are not connected. Our calculations are independently implemented.
Public methods
Causal understanding. Systematic testing.
All Weather examines exposure to growth and inflation surprises. AIA explores automated research and forecasting. PAT shows how investor feedback can improve an analyst workflow.
Published descriptions are not independently reproduced performance.
Our research contribution
Believability. Fusion. Measurable EFV.
Test source weighting, derived features and financial activity descriptors separately. An attractive visual or a novel score is not evidence of predictive improvement.
Track industrial projects from announcement → permits → funding → construction → operation. Combine original observations into measures of delays, funding coverage and supply pressure. Keep every source and uncertainty visible.
Proposed research direction. No project dataset or automatic extraction is claimed here.
01 / Your data
Measure the portfolio beneath the story.
Upload aligned simple returns in decimal units. One date and one return per asset per row. Missing values are rejected. Calculations stay in your local NOUS service.
No market data loaded. Start with your return history, or explicitly load the demonstration.
The two-row example shows the format; supply at least 20 real observations. 2–12 assets · 20–5,000 observations · 2 MB maximum. Constant allocations rebalance each period. Costs are excluded. These are descriptive historical calculations.
Return and risk, side by side.
● Your allocations● Equal-weight baseline
Where the risk comes from
Signed contributions to portfolio variance can be negative when an asset hedges the rest. Not allocation percentages.
Financial EFV
Energy measures return magnitude. Frequency measures how often moves exceed your threshold. Vibration measures variability.
Return-derived descriptors, not physical energy or proof of a forecasting edge.
Correlation map
Inverse-volatility allocation ignores correlations. It is a same-sample diagnostic, not All Weather or a tested trading strategy.
02 / What if?
Stress the assumptions.
Enter an assumed return for each asset under a scenario. These are your shocks; NOUS does not infer or certify a causal model.
Outcome evidence / OMNIA
Does the additional intelligence help?
Compare the same events using a baseline, unweighted forecast, believability weighting, fusion and EFV. Your frozen BlackSwan forecasts load automatically. Positive results do not establish superiority to Bridgewater.
Positive means lower forecast error than the preceding stage. This separates a useful addition from one that merely inherits an earlier improvement.
Intervals require at least 30 events across eight resolution-week blocks. Resampling uses weekly blocks; dependence across weeks may remain. Results are exploratory, not a promotion decision.
Bring a paired evaluation
Import previously issued forecast probabilities and their later outcomes. Imported timestamps and outcomes are owner-supplied and cannot independently prove forecasts were made in advance.
The template contains a single explicitly synthetic example. It cannot substantiate an improvement claim.
What would count as stronger evidence?
Freeze before outcomesRecord the source cutoff, method and baseline before the event resolves.
Separate contributionsTest weighting, fusion and EFV against the same events.
Repeat across conditionsUse held-out periods and account for related events and repeated testing.
Validate independentlyReview outcomes, costs and data quality outside the generating system.
The Bridgewater research library
Public methods, papers, disclosures and tool access checks. Reviewed September 27, 2026. This catalog does not imply a live integration or permission to republish.
Their website restricts automated monitoring and commercial reuse. No crawler, subscription or paid service is enabled. Public availability and reuse rights are separate.
Built with OMNIA + NOUS. Independent research software; no affiliation, endorsement or access to Bridgewater’s proprietary investment systems. Outputs depend on the supplied data and stated assumptions.
